Alhassnawi Trading and General Contracting Company

01.

Technical Department

  • Review the design and modify it with the approval of the consulting engineer, if any.
  • Approve materials with the consulting engineer and owner.
  • Issuing the implementation drawings based on the materials approval and the final structural and architectural drawings.
  • Follow up with the contractor for implementation.

Legal Department

The Legal Department consists of two divisions:

  1. Contracts Division: This division handles all legal matters related to concluding contracts. This division employs a number of highly qualified legal professionals across the governorate.
  2. Complaints Division: This division handles all complaints, lawsuits, and legal proceedings in the courts.

Administrative Department

The General Administration Department consists of:

  • The Administration Director, who follows up and directs the company’s affairs with government departments through the follow-up staff.
  • The daily follow-up staff with government departments, follows up on the company’s affairs, receives official letters, and delivers letters issued by the company. The administration staff consists of more than 15 employees to ensure successful follow-up throughout all Iraqi government departments, from north to south, to raise the company’s operational standards.

Financial Department

The company’s finance department consists of three divisions:

  1. Accounts Division: This division conducts accounting transactions for all company operations based on specific documents. It maintains the company’s revenue and expenditure records after they are referred to the division by the Managing Director. The division then takes the necessary action and submits them to the Audit Division.
  2. Audit Division: The Audit Division audits revenue and expenditure documents received from the Accounts Division against specific records, then matches them and submits them to the Fund.
  3. Fund Division: The Fund Division opens records of revenue and expenditure received by the Fund. Disbursements are made based on specific documents after they are audited by the Audit Division. The Fund Division reconciles the company’s balances with the banks and financial institutions with which the company deals on a weekly basis, using a special register.

Planning and Accounting Department

The Planning Department’s duties include:

  • Follows up on the preparation of the strategic plan and annual plans related to the department.
  • Provides technical advice on projects and the department’s activities.
  • Monitors the progress of projects and compares them with previously established plans.
  • Follows up on the preparation of technical studies and research.

Accounting Department Duties:

  • Final Summary: Prepared upon completion of the final project, documenting all financial transactions from project inception to completion.
  • Manage subcontractor contracts.
  • Provide periodic reports and performance analysis.
  • Comply with tax laws.
  • Use specialized tools and software.

Industrial Inspection and Safety Department

The Occupational Health and Safety Inspection Department, as part of the company’s policy, and the General Manager, Mr. Adel Akab, always emphasizes providing a comfortable, accident- and hazard-free work environment by adhering to and implementing the work plan without exception.

he public health and safety program incorporates international standards, such as ISO 9001:2008, and these standards apply to our operations. We take compliance with this plan and health and safety regulations seriously. This means that failure to comply is sufficient grounds for disciplinary action or termination. These policies are an integral part of the company’s personnel policies.

Our company is distinguished by its adoption of modern methods and techniques in handling the projects it undertakes, which minimize accidents and human losses as much as possible. This is achieved by following globally accepted safety methods and guidelines, including wearing safety clothing, such as work helmets, gloves, safety shoes, and safety belts in workplaces where this is required.

Our industrial safety officer is also authorized to suspend any work on any project that lacks safety requirements until these requirements are met and reviewed personally by him or his staff.

Health and Safety Responsibilities: Our goal is to protect employees from injury while performing their duties for the company, so this must be of utmost importance to everyone. In addition, the duties and responsibilities of all individuals are summarized within the framework of the health and safety program.

Laboratories and Warehouses Department

The school furniture factory is the first in Iraq and has secured several contracts, most notably with the Turkish company Ostom to supply the Ministry of Education with all its needs, in addition to supplying the local market.

The factory’s area is 17,500 square meters, divided into workshops and sheds for painting furniture with powder coating for thermal ovens. All raw materials are from approved sources.

Completed work:

Although the factory was recently established, thanks to the efforts of its management and staff, it has become one of the most important factories in terms of its production capacity. It was designed to meet demand. The factory has completed more than 400,000 trips, more than 85,000 blackboards, more than 300,000 university chairs, and 11,500 canvas sets for the Ministry of Education. The factory has also supplied 450 caravans for the Ministry of Education. The factory is currently preparing caravans for the Ministry of Immigration and several schools in villages and rural areas.

The factory has supplied local markets with a variety of materials and large quantities of its basic and non-essential products.

Machinery and Equipment Department

This department is considered one of the most important and supportive departments of the company’s work. It is responsible for managing the following tasks:

  • Asphalt Plants: The company has two plants for producing asphalt concrete, the first with a production capacity of 250 tons per hour, and the second with a production capacity of 100 tons per hour.
  • Quarries and Gravel Crushers: The company has sand, space, and gravel quarries in the Abu Ghar Quarries area in Dhi Qar Governorate. The company operates Kawski-type gravel crushers in these quarries.
  • Machinery and Equipment: The company owns a large number of machinery, as follows:
